Telltale's FABLES game - The Wolf Among Us

Telltale, the developers of the hit aventure game adaptation of 'The Walking Dead' had revealed earlier in the year that they were developing a game based on the FABLES comic books by Bill Willingham. We were informed that the game itself would not bear the 'FABLES' title, perhaps I'd guess to avoid confusion with Peter Molyneux's FABLE games on the Xbox consoles. But we at last know what the game will be called and something about it. The final title was revealed to be 'The Wolf Among us' starring, you guessed it... Bigby Wolf! The game takes place prior to the start of the comics with Bigby trying to keep the exiled Fabletown denizens in order.

I'm no grammar teacher, but wouldn't it actually be correct to say 'The Wolf Amongst Us'? Maybe some of you literary enthusiasts can inform me. But certainly if you're looking for a literary classic made out of other literary classics, then I highly recommend checking out FABLES, which we now have some nice deluxe hardcover editions of that still have James Jean's wraparound cover art! It's too bad James Jean isn't involved with the game, then the teaser image above would look more like this...

Now that's an adventure!

Things to consider when going to eat fibrous foods

Maybe you've heard the benefits of fiber for the body. In order to smooth digestion, fiber-containing foods is often recommended.

 
Yes, fiber is able to function as a cleaner digestive tract that help overcome constipation. Fiber can also be useful to keep you full longer so help your diet program. Even the fiber also helps maintain a healthy heart and prevent cancer cells.

However, must not eat fiber. If you want to get the optimum benefit from the fiber, it is necessary to consider the type of fiber you eat. According to nutrition experts clinic Samuel Oetoro, fibers composed of type kinds, namely soluble fiber and insoluble fiber water.

Here is a description of Samuel about both types of fiber:

1. Soluble fiber

According to Samuel when eating foods that contain lots of soluble fiber, the stomach will be the formation of gel fibers is due to the reaction with water. "Gel will make a full stomach and sends signals to the brain that the body is full," said one author of the book Smart Eating this.

So, says Samuel, soluble fiber is very good when you're there in the slimming program as it can make you not hungry easily.

"Water-soluble fiber obtained from the stems of greenery," said Samuel. Furthermore Soluble fiber is found in almonds, oats, broccoli, carrots, and fruits such as berries, bananas, apples, and pears.

2. Insoluble fiber
 
This type of fiber can serve to clean the digestive tract that help smooth bowel movement.

"Water Insoluble fiber will carry through the digestive tract to the large intestine," said Samuel.

Water insoluble fiber obtained from some foods such as whole grains, seeds, green leaves, fruits such as avocado, kiwi, and tomatoes.

Hot Drinks Prevent Stroke?

Drinking hot beverages in the morning, whether it's tea or coffee, a part of the daily routine of many people. Simple habits turned out to help us reduce the risk of stroke.

A study of 83,000 people in Japan showed that those who frequently drank green tea or coffee per day had a risk of stroke 20 percent lower. Even the protective effect against certain types of stroke is greater.

 
"If you can not change your lifestyle, try to prevent stroke by regularly drinking green tea every day," said Dr.Yoshihiro Kokubo of National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, Osaka, Japan.

Although it was not clear why coffee and tea had the effect of preventing stroke, but according to Kokubo it may be associated with the ingredients in these drinks that keep blood clots.

In addition, green tea contains catechins, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Some of the substances in coffee, such as chlorogenic acid also reduces the risk of stroke by lowering the risk of diabetes mellitus.

The content of caffeine in coffee also have an effect on cholesterol levels and blood pressure. It also led to changes in insulin sensitivity that affect blood sugar.

Even so, according to Dr.Ralph Sacco, a former American Heart Association priseden, such as the type of research conducted Kokubo can not accurately ascertain whether the reduction in stroke risk was indeed derived from the consumption of coffee and tea.

"The link is visible from such studies are limited in their ability to indicate whether content in coffee, tea, or indeed the lifestyle of the respondents who have a protective effect," says Sacco.

Australian scientists find a vaccine to prevent new strains of flu virus.

Scientists at the University of Melbourne, Australia, discovered a new breakthrough in the search for better vaccines to prevent new strains of flu virus. They say, cells known as T-cells could be the key to a universal flu vaccine.

They find out why the influenza virus usually avoid white cells that protect the body from infection. The use of T-cells to attack the new virus strain will produce a vaccine that is durable and broad coverage in preventing seasonal and pandemic flu outbreaks.

One of the scientists involved in the study, Professor Stephen Turner, said the study will complement the existing treatment of the flu.

"I want to emphasize that we are not trying to replace the existing vaccine that actually works well," said Professor Stephen as reported by the BBC correspondent in Sydney, Phil Mercer.

Other viral infections

"The problem with the existing vaccine is the virus could change, so we are looking for is value added to existing vaccines so that we can produce not only antibodies but also immune T-cell immunity wider if the virus changes without our knowledge," added Professor Stephen .

In addition to potentially generate a universal vaccine, these findings may also reveal a better understanding of immune white blood cells against viral infections, including HIV and hepatitis C.
