'Akira' creator Katsuhiro Otomo had been working on a new anthology of animated short films, for which his contribution 'Combustible' was in the running for best animated short for the Academy Awards, but sadly didn't make the final cut. Still, you can check out the trailer for it, animated by SUNRISE that will be part of the 'Short Peace' anthology.
I'd be nice if someday we could get DVD/Blu-rays of anime anthologies like Robot Carnival, and Genius Party. Memories was the last good one...
