Vanity Fair recently did an article giving us an inside look at the politics behind the game industry; primarily with concern to the story of the break up between the creators of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Activision. The creators left the company to found Respawn Games with Activision's rival publisher EA Games. It's a fascinating article that will interest anyone interested in getting into videogame development and how control of intellectual properties is handeled when there's billions of dollars at stake. I highly recommend it to anyone that is interested about getting into the industry or enjoys studying the gossipy business behind the games.

Megaman added to next Smash Bros

Nintendo finally teased the new Super Smash Bros. game coming to the WiiU & 3DS, and announced two new additions to the roster! The first was the Animal Crossing Guy. The second and biggest and most welcome surprise was for Capcom's Megaman! The third was the girl from Nintendo's WiiFit line. Check out the trailers below for the reveals!

It's nice to see Megaman still be respected somewhere, and Nintendo who is developing the game in collaboration with Namco have paid great homage to the blue guy with careful attention to detail!

Artist Spotlight: Jen Zee

Jen Zee is an American digital artist from San Jose and whose work many are familiar with in games like Bastion from SuperGiant Games, and who have a new game coming out for PS4 and PC called Transistor that also features her work! Halo Xbone teaser

A cinematic CG trailer was shown at Microsoft's E3 press Conference to tease the obvious fact that Halo would be coming to their new next-gen console. Nothing is known about it other than that the next game will be aiming to play at 60 frames/sec for those of you who appreciate the fidelity. You can check out the teaser below.

Microsoft recently did a full reversal with regards to their DRM/online policies regarding their next-gen console after significant consumer outrage from gaming forums and in the mainstream media which mocked their strategy and attack on consumer rights. Early tracking of pre-orders showing their competitor Sony's PS4 outselling their console by a very significant margin globally in store and on-line was also helpful in pressuring the corporate giant to change course.

How to Tweeze Your Eyebrows

A pair of well-groomed and shaped eyebrows makes all the difference to your look. To get the perfect set of eyebrows, you don’t need to be a professional but you will have to follow some basic rules when you are grooming your eyebrows. This diagram is for tweezing or waxing.

For less painful tweezing, try to tweeze the brows after you have taken a hot shower. Hair follicles open up and hence pulling them out becomes easy and less painful.

Study the shape of your face. Know what type of eyebrows will suit your face, fuller, thicker or thin. The arch is an important part of the brows and care should be taken in shaping them; do not make it too high.

Choose the right tweezers, a slant tip allows precision and helps to avoid accidentally pinching your skin while tweezing. Use a creamy white or black pencil to outline the brows and mark the desired shape.

Shape is the most important feature in the tweezing or waxing process, in the diagram at the top of the post here is what you need to do:

Take a long pencil or a thin brush and line it along the side of the nose, the brow starts right above the tear duct.
Now, take the pencil/brush and with one end on the side of the nose and make a 45 degree angle. The invisible line should go right through the pupil and the spot where the pencil hits the brows will be the highest spot and will determine the arch shape and position. Place one end of the pencil at the nose line and the other end along the outer corner of the eye, both should meet the brow. Keep in mind that perfect looking brows have a slight arch so do not make it unnaturally higher or very arched. Brush the brows upwards with a brow brush/ toothbrush and see if you need to trim them.

Pluck the hair on or outside the line, start from below the brow. Do not pluck the hairs above the brow, they help to give you a nice arch.

Those who have gaps and uneven growth, can fill in using a dark brown eye shadow or use a brow kit to make your brows look more natural. Black looks unnatural, a shade lighter always helps.

Kingdom Hearts III is finally in development!

Along with the reveal of Final Fantasy XV (Formerly Final Fantasy Versus XIII) at Sony's E3 Press Conference, Square Enix also surprised many following it up with a teaser trailer that reminded everyone about the Kingdom Hearts HD remixes and topped it off at the end with a tease of Kingdom Hearts III which is finally in development for next-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbone. New Metal Gear Solid V trailer!

After kicking off Microsoft's E3 Press Conference with a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Kojima Productions released an extended uncut version of the trailer later on that you can check out below! The game has also been announced to be coming to next-gen consoles - the PS4 and Xbone along with arriving for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The game features more portions of the story and themes of MGSV that involve Racism and Revenge. The game play has evolved to be open world with a lot of freedom of approach with realism of scale, scope, weather and day/night cycles. Improved CQC that lets you take enemy weapons and use it against them, vehicles and horseback riding, and plenty more stealth mechanics! While we're still confused as to what the difference is between 'MGSV: The Phantom Pain' and 'MGS: Ground Zeroes', the latest information seems to be that Ground Zeroes is still intended as a prologue intended to release before MGSV. The reasons are perhaps that MGSV will still take awhile to release, so Konami intends to release a chunk of the game early to make the wait more sustainable. Hideo Kojima hopes it'll help ease players into the changed mechanics and open world design of Metal Gear ahead of MGSV which will be a much much bigger affair.

Also announced earlier during Konami's pre-E3 press video was the fact that a new voice actor has been chosen to play the ageing Big Boss, and it is Kiefer Sutherland! The official reasoning behind this decision and dropping long time series voice actor David Hayter, appears to be because Hideo Kojima wishes to have a mroe expressive and talented actor performing the facial motion capture. Many fans, undoubtedly upset by the decision are also theorizing that there's more to it than that and that in some form or another David Hayter might still be involved, maybe in the future as a return of a younger Solid Snake.
